特朗普此前通过释放“清空加沙”“占据加沙”等言论，不遗余力地讨好内塔尼亚胡小集团，这让包括沙特等海湾阿拉伯国家在内的部分中东国家非常恼火。所以，美国炒作从叙利亚撤军的话题，除了对欧盟释放“有意向欧盟（‘老欧洲’让渡叙利亚利益）”之信号外，也有借“一旦美军撤离叙利亚，土耳其、以色列趁机做大，必然有损你方利益”为筹码，对包括沙特等海湾阿拉伯国家在内的部分中东国家施压。

需要强调的是，之所以将特朗普政府的这一意图称为“总体上缓和对华关系”，主要在于，其本意同样是权宜之计，是阶段性的，并非“一让到底”。特朗普政府一边在南海问题上保持相对低调，另一边则通过迫使（2024年12月1日，正在访问鸟取县的石破茂所乘坐的汽车与道路上的另一车辆发生碰撞；2025年2月6日，石破茂汽车与警卫车辆发生碰撞）日本新任首相石破茂将首访放在美国加以对冲前者的负面影响。

目前，中日之间围绕日本福岛核污染水排放问题和日本海产品解除制裁问题陷入僵局，直接原因是日本当局无意接受中方对福岛核污染水进行“飞检”的要求，只想蒙混过关——企图借一次事先准备充分的“允许中方独立检查”（检测结果当然是“符合标准”）骗得中方解除对日本海产品的制裁。
