大寒，是二十四节气中的最后一个节气。

每年公历1月20-21日太阳到达黄经300°时为“大寒”。

大寒同小寒一样，都是表示天气寒冷程度的节气，大寒是天气寒冷到极致的意思。

大寒节气处在三九、四九时段，此时寒潮南下频繁，是一年中的最寒冷时节。

2008年广州雪灾正是大寒那几天，京广线南端因雪灾停运，40万人民滞留广州火车站11天，是中国春运史上最艰难的一次 

Dahan (Great Cold) is the last of the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms. It occurs annually around January 20–21 on the Gregorian calendar, when the sun reaches the celestial longitude of 300°. Like Xiaohan (Lesser Cold), Dahan indicates the intensity of cold weather; "Dahan" literally means that the cold has reached its extreme. This solar term falls within the third and fourth "nine-day cold periods" (a traditional Chinese method of counting the coldest days after the winter solstice), a time when cold waves frequently sweep southward, marking the coldest period of the year.
