国家级杭州余杭经济技术开发区成立于 1993 年，规划总面积 43.16 平方公里，位于杭州市九区之一的余杭区区政府所在地——临平城区，是杭州市离上海最近的开发区。

Through twenty years of development, Hangzhou Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone has essentially completed development and construction of 20 square kilometers of industrial area. Hangzhou Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone has obvious strategic regional advantages. Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone is the economic development zone in Hangzhou most adjacent to the Shanghai Metropolitan Economic Circle and Jiangsu Economic Ring. At the same time, relying on the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, it is just 150 kilometers from Shanghai, Ningbo Port and can reach any of them within just 1.5 hours. The extension line of the current Hangzhou Subway Line 1 will open 3 new stations at Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone, which will facilitate same-station direct transfer between high-speed railway and subway.
