In the city, a modern industrial system is formed with the pillar industries in petrochemical and electronic information sectors, co-developing with other industries such as tourism, modern logistics, modern agriculture, automotive electronics and parts, textile, garment and shoe-making, cement and building materials, medicines and clean energy.

1. 石化产业 Petrochemical Industry

惠州大亚湾石化区是广东省政府列为五个重点发展的石油化工基地之一,规划面积65平方公里，以中国海油1200万吨炼油项目和中海壳牌95万吨乙烯项目为依托，吸引了来自美国、日本、荷兰等20多个国家和地区的国际化工及相关工业巨子进驻，其中包括德国巴斯夫、瑞士科莱恩、韩国LG化学、日本三菱丽阳、普利司通、台湾和桐、台湾李长荣、中海油能源发展等在该行业领域居世界领先地位的知名企业，以石化深加工和精细化工高端石化产品为主线，重点发展芳烃下游系列产品、石化深加工系列产品、化工新材料及橡塑加工产品和专用精细化学品。石化区炼油、乙烯及其中、下游产业链已初步形成。
Huizhou Daya Bay Petrochemical Zone is one of the five key developing petrochemical bases in Guangdong, with an area of 65km2. Relying on CNOOC 12milion ton/a Refinery Project and CSPC 950,000 tons/a Ethylene Project, it has attracted the participants from international chemical and related industries of more than 20 countries in USA, Japan, the Netherlands and so on, including some famous world-leader enterprises such as BASF, Clariant in Switzerland, South Korea’s LG Chemical, Mitsubishi Rayon, Bridgestone, Taiwan Hetong, Lee ChangYung Globalene, CNOOC Energy and so on. It develops with the main line of petrochemical processing and fine high-end petrochemical products, focuses on the development of aromatics downstream products, petrochemical deep-processing products, new chemical materials, rubber processing products and fine chemicals. Refining, ethylene and middle and downstream industrial chain has taken into shape in Petrochemical Zone.

2. 电子信息产业 Electronic Information Industry

惠州是全国重要的电子信息产业基地。有企业1000多家，拥有TCL、德赛、华阳、侨兴等全国电子信息百强企业，并集聚了三星、乐金、索尼、联想等一批大型跨国企业，初步形成了以移动通信、平板显示、半导体照明、汽车电子和新型电池为主的五大优势产业群，占电子信息产业的80%。
Huizhou is an important national electronic information industrial base. There are more than 1000 enterprises including the first hundred enterprises of the national electronic information industry such as TCL, Desai, Huayang and Qiaoxing and a large number of international enterprises such as Samsung, LG, Sony and Lenovo. Five big superior industries are initially formed, including mobile communications, flat panel displays, semiconductor lighting, automotive electronics and new battery, accounting for 80% of the electronic information industry.

◎移动通信产业：惠州是全国最大的移动通信终端制造基地，以TCL、德赛、华阳、三星、宝明精工、乐投等企业为代表，已形成从研发设计、触摸屏、主板等零部件生产到整机制造的移动通信产业群，奠定了终端设备制造产业高速发展、手机通讯配套产业齐全、云计算技术产业国内先行领跑的发展格局。
◎Mobile communication industry: Huizhou is the largest mobile communication terminal manufacturing base in China, represented by TCL, Desai, Huayang, Samsung, Po Ming Seiko and Le Voted, establishing a mobile communication industry group from research design, touch screen, boards, parts production to integrated machine manufacturing, and forming the development pattern of high-speed development of terminal equipment manufacturing industry, completed mobile communication supporting industry and domestic first-lead cloud computing technology industry.

◎FPD Industry: Huizhou is the third largest TV production base and an important LCD TV production base in China, creating a complete FPD industry group from components, LED backlight, panels, modules to integrated machine production, and building the 1st domestic integrated production line, namely the 5th international integrated production line to make its LCD TV module production capacity up to 7,000,000 sets/ year.

◎LED产业：惠州是全省LED产业链最完善、产业基础最雄厚的地区之一，以科锐为龙头，全市LED骨干企业40多家，带动近200家关联企业集聚发展，从业人员近5万人，形成了从装备制造、外延片生产、芯片制造、芯片封装到照明及显示应用的产业群。
◎LED Industry: Huizhou has the most complete LED industrial chain and the strongest industrial base in the whole province; under the leadership of Cree, more than 40 backbone LED enterprises, nearly 200 relative enterprises (50,000 employees) have formed an industrial cluster of equipment manufacturing, production of epitaxial wafers, chip manufacturing and packaging, lighting and display applications.

◎新能源电池产业：惠州是中国重要的生产基地之一，全市共生产锂离子电池、原电池及原电池组、碱性蓄电池等各类电池超过14.8亿只，铅酸蓄电池139.2万千伏安时，形成了电池负极材料、手机电池、汽车动力电池、军工专用电池、动力电池管理系统等产品为主的新能源电池产业群。
◎New Energy Battery Industry: Huizhou is one of the important production bases in China with over 1.48 billion of lithium-ion batteries, primary cells and batteries, alkaline batteries and other types batteries, 1,392,000 KVA lead-acid battery, and thus formed a new-energy battery industry group of battery anode materials, cell phones’ batteries, car batteries, military special batteries, traction battery management system and so on.

3. 旅游业 Tourism

惠州是中国优秀旅游城市，旅游资源丰富，拥有山、林、海、岛、湖、温泉、瀑布等自然景观，文物古迹众多，现代旅游设施完善。惠州旅游产业逐步形成“1235”（一心两带三区五组团）的特色旅游格局。即：一个中心（中心城市综合旅游服务区），“两带”（百里生态旅游带和东江文化景观旅游带），三大旅游功能区（北部生态旅游区、中部文化旅游区、南部滨海休闲度假旅游区），五大产业组团（南昆山生态旅游组团、罗浮山文化旅游组团、惠州西湖文化旅游组团、秋长文化旅游组团、平海半岛滨海旅游组团）的基本格局。
Huizhou is an outstanding tourist city with abundant tourism resources including natural landscapes (mountains, forests, sea, islands, lakes, hot springs and waterfalls), numerous cultural relics and modern tourist facilities. Huizhou tourism industry gradually formed a special tourism pattern of “1235”, that is, “one center” (integrated tourism service area in city center); “two belts” (100km eco-tourism belt and Dongjiang cultural and landscape tourism belt), “ three tourism functional areas” (northern eco-tourism area, central cultural tourism zone and southern coastal recreation resort tourism area), and “five industrial groups” (South Kunshan Eco-tourism Group, Luofushan Cultural Tourism Group, Huizhou West Lake Cultural Tourism Group, Qiuchang Cultural Tourism Group and Pinghai Peninsula Coastal Tourism Group).

4. 现代物流业 Modern Logistics Industry

惠州不断完善现代物流业基础设施，重点培育和规范现代物流市场，大力发展第三方物流，提升农村流通领域现代物流水平，整合全社会物流资源，随着金泽国际物流园、义乌小商品批发城等投入使用以及中海物流等国内外知名物流企业进驻，惠州逐步形成了港口物流、农产品物流、原材料物流、交通枢纽物流、工业产品物流、工业园区物流等物流产业体系。
Huizhou constantly improves the infrastructures of modern logistics industry, focuses on cultivating and regulating modern logistics market, develops third-party logistics, enhances the modern logistic distribution levels in rural areas, and integrates social logistic resources. With the normal operation of Kanazawa International Logistics Park, Yiwu Small Commodity Wholesale Center and the settlement of famous logistic enterprises at home and abroad like Zhonghai Logistics, and Huizhou gradually forms logistic industrial systems including port logistics, agricultural logistics, raw material logistics, transportation logistics, industrial products logistics, industrial gardens logistics and so on.

5. 现代农业 Modern Agriculture

惠州现代农业平稳较快发展，全市初步形成了特色农业基地化生产、规模化种植、产业化经营的发展格局。形成了梅菜、马铃薯、甜玉米、荔枝、龙门年桔、石湾韭黄、特色蔬菜、花卉、优质番薯、大顶苦瓜、淮山粉葛、优质紫红茄等十二大特色农产品品牌。现全市有43个连片面积5000亩以上的现代农业示范区，7个相对连片面积5万亩以上的特色农业产业带，52个现代畜牧业示范基地，140个“三品”认证基地，26个特色农产品种养专业镇。
Huizhou steadily and rapidly develops its modern agriculture and initially forms a development pattern of specialized agricultural production base, large-scale planting, and industrialized operation. Twelve major special agriculture brands are formed in preserved vegetable, potato, sweet corn, lychee, Longmen orange, Shiwan chives, specialty vegetables, flowers, high-quality sweet potatoes, big-top gourd, yam kudzu, and purple eggplants. There are 43 modern agricultural demonstration zones with a contiguous area of over 5,000 acres, 7 special agricultural industrial belts with a relatively continuous area of over 50,000 acres, 52 modern livestock demonstration bases, 140 “Three Substance” certification bases and 26 special agricultural and breeding professional towns.

6. 汽车电子及零部件 Automotive Electronics and Components

汽车产业 Automotive Industry

惠州市汽车产业通过多年发展已初具规模，涌现出一批如德赛汽车电子、华阳集团、普利司通、住友电工、东风本田、东风易进、乐金、比亚迪、亿纬锂能等骨干企业，年销售额超亿元汽车零部件企业有19家，汽车产业已成为惠州的潜力支柱产业之一。
Huizhou automobile industry has taken shape through years of development, attracting a large number of key enterprises such as Desai automotive electronics, Huayang Group, Bridgestone, Sumitomo Electric, Dongfeng Honda, Dongfeng Yi Jin, LG, BYD and EVE, and 19 auto component enterprises achieved annual sales of over one hundred million. The auto industry becomes one of the pillar industries in Huizhou.

汽车电子及零部件产品 Automotive Electronics and Components

惠州是中国最大的高端汽车电子产品生产基地，广东省（惠州）北斗装备制造和应用产业基地，成功研发生产全球首款“北斗+GPS”双模车载导航，车载导航产量约为400万台，约占中国车载导航总产量的40%。汽车电子从后装市场打入前装市场，开发了汽车电子总控系统，形成了汽车音响、智能导航、电控系统等“三大板块”。
Huizhou is the largest production base of high-end automotive electronics in China and the equipment manufacturing and application industrial base of Guangdong (Huizhou) Beidou, and has successfully developed the first “Beidou+GPS” dual vehicle navigation in the world, with onboard navigation output of about 4,000,000 sets, which is about 40% of the total onboard navigation output in China. Automotive electronics stepped into the front-loading market from the back-loading market, developing automotive electronics general control system and forming “three sectors” of vehicle audio, intelligent navigation and electronic control system.

7. 纺织服装及制鞋产业 Textile, Garment and Shoe-making Industry

惠州纺织服装业初步形成了以服装为龙头，服装面料、纺织原料、印染后整行业全面发展的生产格局。全市有纺织服装企业3500多家，从业人员超过20万人，年生产各类服装2.5亿多件。全市有注册商标100多个，涌现了如“富绅”衬衫、“真维斯”休闲服饰、“百路宝”T恤、“威利”西服等一批知名品牌服饰。
Huizhou textile and garment industry initially formed a comprehensive development and production pattern of focusing on garment and integrating garment material, textile raw material, and dyeing, printing and finishing. There are more than 3500 textile and garment enterprises, with more than 200,000 employees and annual production of 250 million pieces of various kinds of clothing. There are more than 100 registered trademarks, including a number of famous brands like “Fusion” shirt, “Jeanswest” casual dress, “Baronbow” t-shirt and “Willie” suit.

惠州鞋业逐渐形成了原料供应、模具加工、成型组装、装潢包装、产品销售等一条龙的产业集群生产链，拥有“广东省鞋材生产基地”和“中国女鞋生产基地”荣誉称号。全市制鞋企业有4800多家，从业人员近20万人，生产流水线300多条，日产200万双女鞋，占全国总量的7.5%。
Huizhou shoe industry has gradually formed a coordinated industrial cluster supply chain integrating raw material supply, mould processing, molding assembling, decoration packaging and product sales; and has the honorary titles of “Shoe Production Base in Guangdong” and “Women’s Shoe Production Base in China”. There are more than 4800 shoes manufacturing enterprises in the whole city, with nearly 200,000 employees, more than 300 production lines, and daily production of 2,000,000 pairs of shoes, accounting for 7.5% of the national production.

8. 水泥建材业 Cement and Building Material Industry

近年来，惠州加大了节能降耗工作力度，不断调整建材行业产品结构，通过新建、收购、兼并等形式在龙门和博罗两县建立大型水泥建材基地。龙门县先后引进“华润”、“光大”、“塔牌”三大水泥生产企业，该县已被列为广东省的三大水泥生产基地之一。
In recent years, Huizhou puts more efforts on energy saving and continuously adjusts the production structures in building materials industry, establishing large-scale cement bases in Longmen County and Boluo County in construction, acquisition, or mergering form. Longmen County has introduced three cement enterprises “China Resources”, “China Everbright” and “Tower”, and has been listed as one of the three cement production bases in Guangdong.

9. 生物制药产业 Bio-pharmaceutical Industry

惠州初步形成了生物制药及制剂、中成药、中药饮片、医疗器械等门类品种齐全的传统医药与现代生物技术、新医药协同发展的医药工业体系。全市拥有惠州中药厂、九惠、先锋、罗浮山、艾希德、全一医药、宝芝林药业连锁公司等数百家医药企业。
Huizhou initially forms a pharmaceutical industrial system in which the full-ranged traditional medicine such as bio-pharmaceutical and preparations, Chinese medicine, Chinese Herbal Medicine, medical equipment and other categories can jointly develop with modern biotechnology and new pharmaceuticals. There are hundreds of pharmaceutical enterprises like Huizhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Factory, Jiuhui, Xianfeng, Luofushan, Ai Xide, Quanyi Medicine, Bao Zhilin Pharmaceutical companies and chain enterprises.

10. 清洁能源业 Clean Energy Industry

惠州积极开发新能源和可再生能源，筹备建设核电项目和风力发电厂，推广农村沼气工程和太阳能利用工程。目前惠州LNG电厂、国华大亚湾热电厂、惠州抽水蓄能电站、平海电厂等4家电厂建成投产，总装机容量达627万千瓦。近年来，惠州共投产110千伏及以上输变电工程项目57项，投产变电站40个，110千伏及以上变电站突破100座大关，新增变电容量837.4万千伏安，电网建设投入是“十五”期间的两倍，在规模上相当再造一个惠州电网。
Huizhou actively develops new energy and renewable energy, prepares to establish nuclear power plants and wind power plants and promotes to the biogas and solar energy utilization projects in rural areas. Currently four power plants are put into operation with a total installed capacity of 6.27 million kilowatts in Huizhou LNG Power Plant, Guohua Daya Bay Power Plant, Huizhou Pumped Storage Power Station, Pinghai Power Plant and so on. Totally 57 projects of 110 KV and above transmission and transformation, 40 transformer substations have been put into production in Huizhou. More than 100 transformer substations of over 110KV were constructed and the capacitance was increased by 8,374,000 KVA. The power grid construction was doubled compared with the “10th Five-Year” period, equivalent to building another Huizhou power grid.
