Personalised learning provides an answer to the question of what every individual child needs in order to develop to the full, confidently and happily. Interteach offers education that motivates and engages students.

Although learning may be personalised, this does not mean that it is a wholly individual experience. At Interteach, learning takes place through interaction with fellow students, teachers, external partners and our rich learning environment. Our education provides plenty of time and space for students to engage in both individual and joint activities.

Compared to other European countries, the Netherlands is not a pioneer when it comes to offering bilingual primary education. Interteach intends to change that. Research has revealed that children actually learn better if they are taught bilingually. Children taught bilingually at an early age not only gain a greater understanding of languages in general, but can also solve more complex issues.

Preparing children for the future calls for the development of an international attitude and international skills, with knowledge of other languages, countries and cultures.

We deliberately start bilingual education from four years old because young children aged four to eight are particularly sensitive to language and therefore receptive to multilingual education.

In the future, other languages, including Spanish, will be added as options. This means that Interteach students will be better prepared when entering secondary education and the step towards a bilingual or international education is facilitated.

c.Talent development

At Interteach, we work with the InternationalPrimary Curriculum (IPC). This is a contemporary curriculum for primary education. In addition to IPC, Interteach provides an extensive programme of options in the field of sport, art and culture. We believe it is important to focus more on talent development than currently happens in mainstream education. Interteach works closely with sports organisations, cultural institutions and the business community in order to enable children to discover their talents and develop them to the full. For example, Interteach also organises workshops and clinics for music and sport. Music has been shown to have an effect on brain development, both when experienced and enjoyed as a passive listener and through actively making music. Sport and exercise have a positive impact on children’s health and learning performance. Interteach gives children all the opportunities they need to develop their talents and monitors children’s development across the board.
