中国田径协会(英文名称：Athletic Association of the People's Republic of China，简写：Chinese Athletic Association，缩写为：CAA)是具有独立法人资格的全国田径运动项目群众性体育社会团体，是中华全国体育总会的团体会员，是中国奥林匹克委员会所承认的管辖田径运动的全国性运动协会。

Athletic Association of the People's Republic of China (Chinese Athletic Association as short term and CAA as abbreviation) is a mass organization of sports for national track and field sports with independent legal personality, a group member of All-China Sports Federation and a national sports association governing athletic sports as approved by the China Olympic Committee.

中国田径协会的宗旨是团结全国田径工作者和爱好者，调动一切积极因素，指导和推动中国田径运动的发展；推动和提高运动技术水平；为实施全民健身计划和奥运争光计划，为促进社会主义物质文明和精神文明建设服务；增进与世界各国田径协会的友谊；加强同国际田联和亚洲田联的密切联系与合作。

The purpose of CAA is to combine all track and field workers and enthusiasts within the country, mobilize all positive factors to guide and promote the development of athletic sports in China; to improve and promote technical level of sports; to implement the national fitness program and the Olympic Gold Medal Winning Program and to serve for socialist material civilization and spiritual civilization construction; to enhance the friendship with the world track and field associations and to strengthen close contact and cooperation with the International Association of Athletics Federations and the Asia Association of Athletics.

中国田径协会现在协会下设秘书处1个办事机构(秘书处常设在国家体育总局田径运动管理中心)和新闻委员会、科学训练委员会、竞赛委员会、裁判委员会、马拉松委员会、青少年委员会、场地器材装备委员会及老将委员会8个专项委员会，并共拥有42个省、市级及行业团体会员。中国田径协会自成立以来，在党的路线、方针指引下，协助国家体育总局田径业务主管部门为推动我国田径运动的发展，促进田径运动技术水平的提高做了大量的积极的贡献。

CAA is now completed with a secretariat as the administrative body (the Secretariat is standing in Track and Field Sports Management Center of General Administration of Sport) and 8 special committees, including Press Committee, Scientific Training Committee, Competition Committee, Board of Referees, Marathon Committee, Youth Committee, Venue and Equipment Committee and Veteran Sportsman Committee, as well as members from 42 provinces, municipal and industrial groups. Since its establishment, CAA has contributed a lot in promoting development of athletic sports in China and accelerating the promoting of technical level of athletic sports with assistance to the Business Department of Track and Field Sports of General Administration of Sport and under the guidance and policies of the party.

随着我国改革开放的不断深入，中国田径协会将进一步在党的路线方针指引下，按照国家体育总局有关政策和协会的宗旨，从“大田径”的视角入手，统筹田径各项工作，积极构建大田径格局，实现田径项目整体性跨越式发展。在竞技体育方面，以备战奥运会等世界大赛为核心，坚持“走出去，请进来”，不断更新观念、提升水平；在群众体育方面，广泛开展以马拉松为代表的群众体育活动，推进全民健身运动的深入开展；在业余训练方面，创新后备人才培养管理体制和运行机制，完善田径单项高水平后备人才基地建设，构建田径业余训练大联盟；在体育产业方面，积极盘活田径无形资产，开拓田径市场，壮大田径产业，为田径事业发展补充资金；在文化建设方面，充分挖掘田径内涵，塑造和弘扬田径文化，打造中国田径的精气神；在对外交往方面，积极参与国际事务，培育品牌赛事，扩大中国田径的国际影响力。

With the deepening of China's reform and opening up, CAA will, under further guidance and policies of Party, according to the related policies made by General Administration of Sport and the purpose of Association, start with the concept of "big field", coordinate all works related to track and field sports, actively construct the pattern of big field and achieve overall and great-leap-forward development of track and field sports. As for competitive sports, take preparation for World Series as core, such as Olympic Games, insist on "getting out" and "inviting in", update the concept continuously and promote relevant levels; for mass sports, widely launch various mass sports activities represented by Marathon Sports, to promote deep development of sports for all; as for amateur training, innovate the reserve personnel training management system and operation mechanism, improve the base construction for high level talents in single track and field sports and build an amateur training league for track and field sports; as for sports industry, efficiently use intangible assets in track and field sports, exploit the market and expand industry of track and field sports as well as create the spirit of China track and field sports; as for foreign relations, actively participate in international affairs, develop brand events and enlarge the international influence of China Athletics.

中国田径协会将以“大田径”理念为指导，团结和带领全国田径界，广泛吸纳社会资源，调动一切积极力量，协助国家体育总局田径运动管理中心把我国的田径工作做好，为推动我国由体育大国向体育强国的迈进和社会主义文化的大发展大繁荣而不懈努力。

CAA will take the "big field" concept as guidance, unite and lead the athletics circle in the whole country, widely absorb social resources, mobilize all positive factors to assist the Track and Field Sports Management Center of General Administration of Sport in implementing athletics works in China and making unremitting efforts to turn China into a sports power from a major sports country and to promote the great development and boom of the socialist culture
