秋分，二十四节气之一，日期为每年公历的9月22日~24日之间。这一天太阳几乎直射地球赤道，全球各地昼夜等长。秋分日后，太阳光直射位置南移，北半球昼短夜长，昼夜温差加大，气温逐日下降。

秋分曾是传统的“祭月节”，中秋节由“秋夕祭月”演变而来。

The Autumnal Equinox is one of the twenty-four solar terms, falling between September 22nd and 24th of the Gregorian calendar each year. On this day, the sun is almost directly above the Earth's equator, resulting in equal day and night lengths across the globe. After the Autumnal Equinox, the position where sunlight directly shines moves southward, leading to shorter days and longer nights in the Northern Hemisphere, along with increasing day-night temperature differences and a gradual decline in temperatures.

The Autumnal Equinox was once the traditional "Mid-Autumn Moon Festival," and the Mid-Autumn Festival evolved from the practice of "worshipping the moon on the Autumn Evening."
