The main component of the pearl is calcium carbonate, with a strong shield and UV absorption and also a low-temperature far-infrared emission. The particle size of the powder added in the pearl fiber is below 300nm, close to ultraviolet wavelengths, therefore its anti-UV effect is much more obvious. According to the tested, the transmittance rate of UVA and UVB in pearl fiber, Tencel, Modal (30/30/40) blended knitting cloth with the gram weight of 210g / m2 is only 0.1%, and the ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) is over 50; however, the UPF of the thin shirt material of the cotton/pearl fiber blend of 120s / 2 and the gram is over 32, one time more than that of the same category of fiber.
