How do I get a free quote from you?
There are two ways to get a free quote. The first and quickest is to contact with our online Customer Service or Msn or QQ. The second way is to call our toll free number and ask one of our friendly customer service reps. We have live representatives standing by 12-hours a day (GMT8 8:30~20:30) during the week to answer your phone call.
What if I’m not satisfied with the work that was done for me?
The first thing you should do is to contact our office and let us know exactly what you did not like about the service. Please be as specific as possible, our purpose is to satisfy our clients so they think of us first the next time they need translation. We’ll work with you to correct the situation and make you a long-term business client. We win our clients through our after-sale service;

Will your company sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement?
Yes. We will definitely sign an NDA and we will also have our translator sign it.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We also accept T/T, cheques, cash, in RMB and US Dollars and Japanese yen and the euro, etc.
Where are your translators located?
Our translators are located in a variety of countries spanning the world but the vast majority of translators are located in China. We work closely with all of our translators to ensure the high quality of our work you receive. When there is a need for localization into a particular market we try and match our clients with translators in their particular country of localization. It could mean getting a Japanese translation from a translator in Japan native.
Who are your translators?
Our translators are professional individuals with years of experience in the industry. They are educated linguists who have either studied to become a translator/interpreter or have the relative education and the experience combination to be considered a highly qualified professional. Rest assured that our translators are some of the most talented in this industry.
How many languages do we translate into?
We translate in over 40 languages and dialects which also include more obscure dialects. Any language with an oral or written set of rules we can translate into.
Written translation
Why can't just anyone translate my documents?
It takes specialized skill to translate, because both the English language and the Chinese language are filled with rich and dynamic words and phrases. It takes skill to understand the writer’s intent and then translate that same equal intent from Chinese to English or English to Chinese. There are indeed lots of people who can do a simple exchange of Chinese and English words, as could a computer program, but only a skilled translator can translate the correct tone and intent in a grammatically correct way.
What is a proofread?
A proofread is a review and edit by a second translator to ensure the context of the original text has been fully understood and translated accurately. A proofread is particularly important for business translation as there is usually more than one way to say the same thing and the second translator can ensure the appropriate tone of voice has been adopted and conventions followed.
How is your translated document delivered?
We can deliver it in a variety of formats. Most clients prefer to receive a Word document attached by email. However, other forms of delivery are fax, PDF, DOC and other desktop publishing programs.
How long will it take to receive my translation?
It depends on length of your document, the original and target language, as well as type of translation. In our case our average translation takes about 1 day with an average of about 2000-3500 words per day. We also offer a rush service for your translated documents if you’re pressed for time in receiving them.
How can I be sure that the finished product is of the highest quality?
All our translations are carried out by highly qualified and experienced translators who have grown up speaking the language into which they are translating. We only use native speakers as we strongly believe that living and working in an environment where the target language is actually spoken is the best guarantee for the purest translations with correct use of terminology.
What is Computer-Generated or Machine Translation (MT)?
Computer-generated translations are created by a computer. Since computers do not yet possess "life knowledge", machine translations are not perfect. A computer doesn't know that "dusting" a field means putting dust on it, while "dusting" a table means taking dust off it. In another language the translation for "drive" is probably different depending on whether one is driving a golf ball or a car, and a computer can easily get it wrong. However, machine translation is nearly instantaneous and thus ideal for many purposes where human translation is simply not feasible. Machine translation is commonly used for rapid, draft-quality translations that provide individuals with the "gist" of language documents such as email, Web pages and correspondence. A "gisted" translation allows the reader to understand the meaning of the original document and determine its relevance to their business.
What file formats do you accept?
We work with an exhaustive list of file formats, both editable text and image formats. These include (but are not limited to):

How do you calculate the price of a translation?
Our prices depend on a variety of factors, such as:
- Language combinations: some languages are more ‘exotic’ than others and we have to find a suitably qualified translator if the source or target languages are a difficult match – see below
- Complexity of subject matter: legal, technical, medical, marketing etc.
- Document word count: the longer the document, the higher the price
- Desired turnaround time: the shorter the timeframe, the higher the price

Consecutive and Simultaneous Interpreting
What is simultaneous interpreting
Simultaneous interpreting is when an interpreter listens to a presentation and relays it in another language with no significant delay.
Will the interpreters be local?
If possible, we will use local interpreters for your conference to minimize your expense, but our prime objective is to exceed your expectations. If we are confident we can do this with local interpreters, we will do so. But if we are in any doubt about whether that is possible (especially if your conference is technical, high-level, needs a large number of interpreters for a certain language, or needs a professional interpreter for an exotic language), we will recommend flying interpreters in. If this is the case, expect to provide round-trip airfares, taxi-fares, hotel rooms and meals.
What is the difference between simultaneous and consecutive interpretation?
Simultaneous interpretation is "continuous flow" whereas consecutive interpretation has a "stop and go" rhythm. Simultaneous interpretation is real-time interpreting. Speakers talk as they normally would, without pause, as the interpreter listens to one language and speaks in another, simultaneously, the two voices speaking at once. This is also known as “U.N.-style” interpreting. Simultaneous interpretation calls for extreme concentration, mental flexibility, and wide-ranging vocabulary in both languages. Research has shown that 23 cognitive skills are involved in simultaneous interpreting. Simultaneous interpretation also requires additional equipment in order to transmit the additional languages to listeners. In most casions, Simultaneous interpreters sit in a sound-proof booth and interpret in real-time and the audience listen through headphones.
Consecutive interpretation,the more popular of the two, occurs after each passage of speech, and requires pauses between passages for the interpretation to be spoken. First the interpreter listens to the entire original phrase or passage, then she/he interprets it into the desired language. This mode is often used for Q&A. It usually lengthens proceedings by slowing communication as the listeners wait for each language to be spoken before the other language can recommence. Consecutive interpreting calls for excellent short-term and long-term memory, note-taking skills, a grasp of subtle nuances in both languages, and mastery of speaking styles, to preserve the tempo and mannerisms of a speaker.
How do you control the quality of your interpreters?
All of our interpreters are carefully assessed for language skills their working languages, interpretation skills, terminology and concepts, and demonstrated understanding of the ethics and practices of interpreting. In addition, we follow up with a detailed evaluation survey after each assignment is completed to assure complete customer satisfaction, and interpreter quality
Are your interpreters certified?
YES. Certified interpreters are required, very specialized set of appointments. Our interpreters are qualified to perform a wide variety of appointments.

Do you provide oral translation?
Yes, we do - though the more accurate term for this is "interpretation". The difference between interpretation and translation lies within the choice of communication channel. Whilst translation concerns itself with written communication, interpreting deals with the spoken word. Translators work on written documents, while interpreters are accustomed to circumstances that require live translation; for example conferences and business meetings, medical appointments, legal proceedings, and the like.
How do you ensure the confidentiality of my oral or written information?
All our translators and interpreters must agree to our terms and conditions before undertaking any job for us. In doing this, they automatically agree to honour our confidentiality clauses involving non-disclosure of clients' information.
For projects involving extremely sensitive information, translators/interpreters will be required to sign ad hoc confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
What if I need an interpreter right NOW?
We can obtain the services of a telephone interpreter for emergency situations. For those appointments that require an interpreter in person, we ask that you call and schedule the request with our staff.
What else will I need?
For simultaneous interpreting, you will also need to hire equipment so that your delegates can hear the interpreter's voice.
Simultaneous Interpretation Equipment
How do infrared transmission systems send their signal into a conference room?
Infrared transmission systems, like the BOSCH system we provide, utilize infrared emitters to send the signal into a conference venue. There are various models of emitters with various power outputs and dispersion patterns. ICS has been utilizing infrared transmission for over 10 years and has provided systems with up to 14 channels in venues with up to 15,000 participants. Infrared emitters are usually placed on stands in the corners of a meeting room or hung from lighting trusses in large venues, making for a neat, virtually cable-free installation. As the signal is based on infrared light, the signal behaves just like light and does not require a clear line of sight from radiator to receiver. Like light, the signal is reflected off of light colored surfaces and disperses throughout the room providing uniform signal coverage.
How do I make sure I have the right equipment configuration? The company we hired keeps talking about it, but I'm not even sure what it means.
All it means is the types of equipment used and the way the equipment is wired, which should be a function of the number of languages and needs of your meeting.
What kind of equipment is required for Simultaneous Interpretation to be successful?
The equipment required for interpretation can range from a single transmitter to a complex integrated audio delivery system. In planning your interpretation assignment, your Ubiqus representative will ask you a number of questions in order to determine the optimum lowest-cost configuration for your event. Equipment such as audio systems, soundproof booths, headsets, recording systems and wireless microphones may be necessary to ensure that all delegates have access to the technology that will enable them to get the most value from an event.
